Help Us Rebuild Our Cabin
In the 1950’s the Tuckahoe/Eastchester community recognized a need to have a Girl Scout cabin. Through a grassroots effort, the community raised the money to build the cabine that stands today on Highland Avenue in Eastchester. Girls and their leaders donated a percentage of their cookie sales and local business leaders made substantial contributions. In the past 50+ years, thousands of girls and their leaders in this and surrounding communities have utilized the cabin for their meetings, events, sleepovers, ceremonies and summer day camp. The cabin has begun to show its age and is in need of major capital improvements. Some include: a new boiler, electrical upgrades, energy efficient upgrades, handicap accessibility, new doors and new windows.
In order for Girl Scouts to continue serving this community and preserve their memories, we need your help.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson to benefit the Tuck/East Building Fund. Have your family or business name memorialized forever in our cabin by helping us to grow our “Building Tree” or choose from a standard donation level.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
The Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scout Community
